Yoga in the Park

The 60-minute class will explore postures and movements to help ease the body and relax the mind. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Dress in comfortable clothes that allow for movement and bring a mat!

  • I understand that yoga and all activities and instruction provided by Nadia Zerka includes, but is not limited to, physical movements, stretching, breathing exercises, strengthening exercises, meditation techniques, and hands-on physical adjustments for the purpose of improving alignment or understanding of movement; and that I may decline any of these options. I am participating in classes or services during which I will receive information and instruction about yoga and health. I recognize that yoga requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in any physical fitness program, including yoga. I represent and warrant that I have no medical condition that would prevent my participation in physical fitness activities. I understand that Nadia Zerka is not privy to any medical concerns I may currently have or have suffered in the past and that I am responsible for ensuring I am safely participating in the activity. I understand that if the activity I am engaged in causes irritation, discomfort, or pain, I will refrain from continuing the activity until it is safe for me to do so. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the yoga classes, I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive any claim I may have against the instructor, the owner, or the leaseholder of the building for injuries or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in classes or workshops held by Nadia Zerka.
  • I give Nadia Zerka permission to take instructional and promotional pictures and videos of myself during class time. I give permission to the Nadia to use photos/videos of myself in promotional materials and digital marketing supporting the community aspect of this practice.

About the Instructor

Instructor Nadia Zerka first tried yoga in April 2011 and has never looked back. Her goal is to reduce barriers and stereotypes surrounding yoga, making the practice more available to the greater Flint community. She holds a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 certification through Yoga Alliance and an Accessible Yoga certification through Accessible Yoga Training School.
